2024 Gaming Resolution:
To play more games of course, but more importanly no more pressuring myself to play x game. No more feeling bad that I haven't finished that game that I "need" to beat or that I'm not into the latest game. Time to return to fun, enjoying replays, and of course still defeating the backlog one game at a time. ♥
As for favorite CV? ...that would easily be CotM actually. I really like its aesthetics (even though back in the day shit was impossible to see) and level design, though I must admit that the game can be exceptionally rude at times, but I think it's a game that's better designed for rewarding players for good movement and ingenuity when it comes to tackling difficult scenarios (or just being a man of the Cross, that also works too), which I feel is most critically lacking in a few of the metroidvania entries. Beyond that it's Lament of Innocence (peak CV action imo, should replay on CRAZY at some point) and Order of Ecclesia (despite several literal linear levels, easily has the best combat design and customization system in the whole series).
Ohterwise, aside from doing some side grinding in Relink, I've been plugging away slowly at D5's scenario. She's such a gem, I'm really excited to see how her story ends!
